Bio

Siyabonga Hamilton Dlamini is a Swazi gospel artist. He is son to Sibonisile Dube and Sipho Dlamini. He grew up in Sidvwashini under the supervision of his late grandfather, Joshua Nhlanganiso Dube. Dube always urged him to seek God’s presence in his life by attending church at Assemblies of God in Mbabane.

He attended St Francis Primary and further went to Mater Dolorosa High School. He began singing in 1994 with the Praise and Worship Team at Divine Healing Ministries while in Grade 6. His passion for singing saw him joining a soloist competition done by the Redemption Mass Choir in 1998. The event was founded by Her Royal Highness Advocate Doctor Inkhosikati LaMbikiza. He won the first prize thus allowing him to join the choir. His powerful voice saw him becoming one of the lead singers and led a track titled ‘Baba Wethu’ in the ‘Redemption Story 1’ album released in 1999.

In ‘Redemption Story 2’ (released in 2003) he did five tracks namely ‘Wota Mmeli Wami’, ‘Vuma Wena’, ‘Sathane Angeke’, ‘Praise Him’ and ‘Ludvumo Lwakho’. Siyabinga has also worked with a number of local and international artists including Alicia Keys and the late Miriam Makeba at the Love Life Concert in 2003 in Cape Town, South Africa.

In 2006, ‘Redemption Story 3’ was released. On that project he worked with Gugulethu Mabundza and Sandile Makhaya who is now a backing vocalist for Pastor Benjamin Dube. He wrote two songs in that album namely ‘Wangitfwalela Emacala Ami’ and ‘Come Down Holy Spirit’. He also led a song entitled ‘Uyingcwele’.

In 2014, he released an album entitled 'Bambelela Siyabonga’. The project was recorded at Down East Studio.
