Lil Kesh

Bio

Lil Kesh (Keshinro Ololade) is a Nigerian rapper. He grew up in Bariga, a suburb in Lagos. Prior to turning professional, Lil Kesh took part in open mic competitions, attracting minor attention. He soon met rapper Olamide after a friend played a song by Lil Kesh for the YBNL record label owner.

After releasing the singles, ‘Lyrically’ and ‘Bad Guyz’ Lil Kesh scored a hit with the song ‘Shoki’ (2014). The song’s video came with an eponymous dance which went viral soon after.

He was the cause of controversy at the 2015 Headies. He lost the awards' Next Rated category at the event, causing label head Olamide to make remarks on television and later on social media targeting Don Jazzy, whose protege won the trophy.

After releasing about a half-dozen of hit songs, Lil Kesh released his debut album YAGI (Young And Getting It) on 17 March, 2016.
