Juni Mamba

Bio

Juni Mamba, born Tafou Lemah Steve Patrick, is a Cameroonian singer, songwriter, performer, beatmaker, and cultural project leader. Blending African urban music, soul, rock, and traditional sounds, he has built a distinctive artistic identity where music becomes a space for reflection, healing, and inner transformation.

Passionate about music since childhood, he gradually trained himself in singing, songwriting, arrangement, artistic direction, and sound engineering. This versatility allows him to create coherent, ambitious, and deeply personal works. His journey has been enriched through collaborations with respected Cameroonian professionals and artists such as Elvis Kemayo, Locko, Ruben Binam, Guy Marc Tony Mefe, Boris Essah, and Othniel Mombel, who currently serves as artistic director and manager of his project.

Juni Mamba also strengthened his professional foundation through training programs, notably Music Business Training led by Escale Bantoo, where he was mentored by key industry professionals including Lornoar. This experience marked a turning point in structuring his career.

His stage presence earned him national recognition as winner of Orange Music Talents, a major competition organized by Orange Cameroon, after previously reaching the finals of an earlier edition. In 2026, he was selected as a finalist of the Goethe-Découverte Prize, confirming the growing impact of his artistic vision. In December 2025, he produced his first solo live concert, reinforcing his connection with audiences.

On stage, Juni Mamba embodies a distinctive energy and sensitivity. His soulful, powerful voice conveys messages beyond words, while his generosity allows him to connect naturally with audiences and anchor them fully in the moment. He has performed on several notable stages and cultural platforms in Cameroon, including Escale Bantoo International Women’s Voices Fair, YAMEX, and DOMAF. These performances helped establish him as one of the emerging voices of his generation.

What makes Juni Mamba unique goes beyond music itself. Holding an advanced diploma in psychology, he places mental health, emotional wounds, and personal development at the heart of his creative work. For him, music is not merely entertainment; it is a language that opens conversations, releases buried emotions, and encourages emotional reconstruction.

This vision fully unfolds through Embryonnaire, his flagship artistic project. Designed as a concept album and long-term creative universe, it explores anger as a revealing and transformative emotion. Through it, Juni Mamba examines inner pain, social fractures, and possible paths toward healing and peace. The project also extends into a live performance entitled Ya’e Ntu (“the pain of the soul” in the Fe’efe language), where music, storytelling, and introspection merge into an immersive stage experience.

Alongside his artistic career, Juni Mamba remains active within the cultural ecosystem, contributing to major professional events such as Escale Bantoo International Women’s Voices Fair, Africa Prod Fest, and several editions of Escale Bantoo Music Business Training. He is also president of Be & Live Association.

Through his art, Juni Mamba defends a simple conviction: the emotions we hide can become strengths once we learn to understand them. His ambition is to make music from Cameroon resonate internationally—powerful, meaningful, accessible, and deeply relevant to the...
