AiméDOH
Bio
AiméDOH is a singer-songwriter with a poetic accent, born in DR Congo, grew up in Nairobi and established himself in Belgium. He has developed a warm, authentic musical style that reflects his African roots. His songs incorporate influences and impressions from the different countries he has travelled through.
From an early age, AiméDoh sang in various choirs. First in his home village of Mukwidja, on the shores of Lake Kivu in South Kivu, then in Goma, Nairobi and finally in the Jubilate choir in Brussels.
Thanks to his friends in the neighbourhood (a nod to Sunrise), he learned to play the guitar. He then took piano lessons at MusicLand with teacher Karuma in Nairobi. He continued his apprenticeship at the Molenbeek music academy, taking guitar and flute lessons.
To share his love of singing, AiméDoh joined several music groups. This opened the door to shows and stage experiences. After Chic Élégance in Goma (Congo), Nice Guys in Nairobi (Kenya) and Unisson Music in Belgium, the time came for AiméDoh to go solo. He began recording his own compositions, produced 5 video clips and launched a four-track EP entitled "Jambo" (Swahili word for “Hello”) in 2021.
At the beginning of 2023, he released his first 9-track album, entitled Ubuntu, a philosophy of life centred on the place of the human being within a community: "I am because we are". The album is available on all music platforms and can be downloaded on www.gagaprods.com/aimedoh platform. It reflects the artist's maturity and defines his musical identity.
AiméDoh makes music to transmit a tenderly committed message, shared by every human who loves justice, fairness, solidarity and living together. He wants to move, connect and inspire. He wants, through his music, to be a link between generations and wants the soul of his music to be universal.
