Call for entries: Hi-Life Fest music competition in Nigeria
12 Sep 2022 - 14:02
Registration is currently ongoing for this year’s edition of the annual Hi-Life Fest music competition in Nigeria.
The brainchild of beverage brand Life Continental Lager Beer, the programme serves as a platform for performers of the highlife genre, helping them to grow their craft while preserving Igbo culture and traditional sounds.
Running under the theme Celebrating Life, Celebrating Culture, this year’s contest will reward musicians in singing and dance categories, with a prize package including a record deal and cash prize, among others. The competition will run across Life Continental Lager Beer’s social media pages.
Last year, the competition was won by Chijioke Charles and the Ofu Obi Dance Troupe.
“Hi-Life Fest is designed to ensure that homegrown talents are given the needed motivation to progress in their musical journey,” Life Continental Lager Beer senior brand manager Aishat Anaekwe said. “We aim to showcase highlife music talents to the wider public so that they can develop their talents and become highlife music icons like Flavour N’abania and other legends.”
