South African jazz artist Nick Ford has received five nominations for the upcoming 9th Mzantsi Jazz Awards, set to take place on 30 August 2025 at the UJ Arts & Culture Centre in Johannesburg.

Ford’s debut album Terra Solus and original composition The Wanderer have garnered recognition across multiple categories:

• Best Contemporary Jazz Album – Terra Solus

• Best Jazz Album – Terra Solus

• Best Jazz Song – The Wanderer

• Best Newcomer – Nick Ford

• Best Male Jazz Artist – Nick Ford

Reflecting on the nominations, Ford shared:
