Papa Dinheiro
Bio
Papa Dinheiro (born Bonifácio Ernesto Huo) is a South Africa-based Mozambican singer, songwriter and a phenomenal overall talent.
Dinheiro describes himself as a multi-talented individual that works hard at perfecting his craft.
Papa Dinheiro grew up listening to cassettes by some of the country's biggest artists. He began imitating artists such as Antoninho Maengane and the Angolan zouk legends, Irmãos Verdades.
Having a dream of becoming a musician, Papa Dinheiro left his homeland at the age of 17, heading to South Africa, where he met the multi-award winning musician and producer Henny C. After working multiple jobs, Papa Dinheiro saved up enough money to record an Afropop single called “Zodwa” and a hip-hop/trap single called “Dinheiro”.
His versatility was further demonstrated in his collaborations with Nigerian singer, Blaq Mo & Gospel Hip-Hop singer, MG Boy. Perpetraytah, a Zimbabwean powerhouse, released his first multi-genre EP in 2022.
His vibrant persona on the streets of Johannesburg has led him to perform at various radio stations and venues, including the 1906-founded Kitchener's bar in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, ThethaFM and KofifiFM.
