Call for scores: Classical Commission programme in the US
Composers around the world are invited to submit scores for the Classical Commission programme’s 2021-22 season featuring musicians working with the CreArtBox Ensemble in the US.
The call is open to all composers without restrictions and artist have until 22 August to submit their scores.
Requirements
- A composer can be of any age and nationality, or point in their career, working in any style.
Instrumentation
- CreArtBox is an open ensemble with a core ensemble of flute, clarinet, violin, cello, and piano.
- Composers should explore past performances via the CreArtBox's website.
- Composers are welcome to submit pieces of any instrumentation. Any chamber music ensemble will be considered.
- It is highly encouraged to indicate (where possible) if the piece could be arranged to be played with other instrumentation. This will give the piece a bigger chance to be programmed.
Length
- The recommended length is five to 15 minutes. Composers are encouraged to submit a large work, as it might lead to other projects.
- Works may incorporate electronics and/or video.
CreArtBox works with world-class artists and creators, assembling arts entrepreneurship platforms in different configurations to encourage the following:

- Engagement with new audiences.
- Inspire and educate future generations.
- Use and revitalisation of unconventional spaces.
- Foster art commitment in today's society.

Composers should submit a full score and recording (or MIDI) to info@creartbox.nyc with the subject: ‘Call for Submissions of Classical Contemporary Music’.
