BIO
Olivia Ambani is an award winning singer- songwriter, from Kenya who was nominated she won Songwriter of the year at Cafe Ngoma Awards in 2022. She was also nominated for The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA, 2019) in the continental category for Best Female Artiste in African Inspirational Music and Songwriter of The Year in Africa. In late 2018 Olivia Ambani was also selected to be part of #emPawa100 artists, selected by emPawa Africa a competition founded by Mr Eazi, that was searching for 100 talented artists from all over Africa.
In April 2020 Olivia Ambani released her debut album – THE AWAKENING – featuring 14 songs all written and performed by her, including her inspirational single – Better Than Just Fine – that she released in 2019 thanks to emPawa Africa.
Olivia Ambani has also been making waves in the House/electronic music scene releasing a chart topping EP - Take A Chance - and a number of great collaborations where Olivia is featured as the vocalist and songwriter: Spirit by Silvva, Remember by Kayrop, Kingdom by Vidza, Show Me by Kusini & Silvva and "Dreams Of My Guku" by SBfire.
Performing has always been one of Olivia’s favourite things, she has performed at various shows
and festivals: The Wall of Greens Gothenburg Festival in Sweden (2022) and Triller Fest (2020) first
international virtual festival. In August 2023 she had a show in Switzerland at Mahogany Hall. Olivia Ambani continues to captivate her audience by creating live through her freestyle sessions that are a constant part of her performance sets. In 2020 she launched #FreestyleFriday Series on her YouTube channel.
In March 2021 her song - Falling Star - was featured in a movie “Just In Time” showing on NETFLIX and in 2022 her music was nominated for Best Score at The Kalasha Film and TV awards (2022) in the documentary Tales From The Pandemic.
