Kanjii Mbugua
Bio
This prolific artist got saved when he was only 10 years in a Scripture Union Camp. In 1997 Kanjii got the opportunity to tour the world as The Youth ambassador to the world, he also got a Conflict resolution Diploma in the process. After this tour, he joined Joseph Hellon's Real Music School for voice lessons. Later he joined Biola University where he studied music and vocal performance.
Kanjii also studied contemporary music in Musicians Institute in Hollywood and Audio Engineering and Music Business at Dallas' Sound Lab. During this time he also met with some of his friends (Kiama Mwiti,Harry Kiiru and Christian Mungai) in the US and they formed the Milele Music Group. An urban gospel music group, they recorded four albums 'Forever', 'Level Up', 'Afrique' and 'Monday'.
With 10 albums under his musical belt, the I am Just Man hitmaker won the 2008 Groove Award Male Artist of the Year and the 2009 Best Live Music Performer of the Year as a solo artist. The former Kenya’s Youth Ambassador to the world runs Kijiji Entertainment that has been rebranded to Kijiji Agency, a music recording and distribution company where he also doubles up as a producer. In 2013 his company produced the Niko Na Safaricom Live music show. Kanjii has toured the US, Germany, Taiwan, Japan, Guatemala, Uganda, amongst many other countries.
