Yeka Onka

Yeka Onka (Onyekachi Elizabeth Gilbert Onwuka) is a Nigerian musician. She won the maiden edition of talent show Nigerian Idol in 2011. The singer is from Ohafia, a town in Abia, a state in Southeast Nigeria. A former beauty queen, Yeka attended the University of Calabar where she obtained a degree in History and International Relations.

A year after her win and debut ‘Follow Me’, produced by Jesse Jagz, she released the songs 'Sambele' and ‘Ewa Ba mi Jo’. Both songs were not quite as well received following her win. In 2013, another single 'Me and You' met with a similar reception. A debut album, expected just after her win, is yet to be released.
