National Arts Merit Awards 2025 in Zimbabwe: All the winners
The winners of the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMAs) were announced at a ceremony held in Harare, Zimbabwe, on 28 March, recognising achievement across music, film, literature, visual arts and other creative disciplines.

Jah Prayzah triumphed in the Outstanding Male Musician and Outstanding Album categories.
Music categories drew particular attention, with leading winners including Winky D and Jah Prayzah, winning two awards apiece. Winky D took home the Outstanding Music Video and People’s Choice Award while Jah Prayzah won the Outstanding Male Musician and Outstanding Album awards.
Nisha Ts emerged tops in the Outstanding Female Musician category, ahead of Sharon Manyonganise Cherayi and Shashl. Atenda Chinx was named Outstanding Breakthrough Musician, beating Junior Spragga and Shone, while Joyful Praise won Outstanding Music Group, ahead of The Redeemed Family and VeRutendo.
Nutty O’s ‘Too Much’ was awarded Outstanding Song, with ‘Ruzhowa’ by Jah Prayzah and ‘Admire Kadembo’ by Nisha Ts also shortlisted.
Among the special honours, DJ Nitefreak was named Outstanding Artist in the Diaspora, and Odyssey Entertainment was recognised as Promoter of the Year. Plot Mhako received the Outstanding Arts Journalist/Media House award.
