Suka Sounds

Suka Sounds is the working name of Suka Andrew, a sound engineer based in Nigeria. With an array of hit songs bearing his signature sound tag ‘Suka Sounds,’ delivered by a female voice, he is perhaps the most sought-after sound engineer working in Nigeria’s mainstream pop milieu.

Andrew is from Plateau. He studied music at Lani Stephens Music Institute, then had an internship at Studio One and then First-Wave Communications, one of the biggest studios in Jos, capital of Plateau. He was the music producer and studio manager of the establishment. He moved to Lagos subsequently and became sound engineer for EME, the record label co-owned by singer Banky W.

He has since worked on several hit songs including the following: Wizkid’s Caro and Ojuelegba (2014), Brymo’s Ara (2011) and Banky W’s Jasi (2014).
