CRUNCHY SWEATER
A Multi-instrumentalist, Artist and Ambivert of South African and Nigerian-German descent.
He’s renowned for his award-winning talents as a self-produced multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter and as a pivotal member of the SAMA nominated band NLite.

Crunchy's music embodies a fusion of infectioushooks, sensual grooves and ethereal guitar melodies blending alternative rock/afropunk, neo soul and ska.
There is both a warmth and darkness to his music reminiscent of Greentea Peng’s “Psychedelic RnB” ebbing and flowing to and from the depths of his psyche.

Inspired by the new age African sounds of 340Ml, Blk Jks and The Muffinz as well as the rawness of King Krule, Nirvana and Jeff Buckley, Crunchy strives for an honesty and lucidity whether musing on identity, devotion or hedonism.

His style has been honed through innumerable performances on stages such as Bushfire, Rocking the Daisies and In the City as a front man and sessionist (The Brother Moves On, Leomile, Muneyi, Sio, Marcus Harvey…)
