
US rapper Lecrae to perform in Kigali for the first time
American rapper Lecrae will perform in Kigali for the first time on 6 September, as part of his multi-nation Reconstruction album tour. The concert will take place at KCEV (Camp Kigali), with gates opening at 5pm and the show scheduled to start at 6pm.

Lecrae, 45, is a four-time Grammy Award winner. He is also a singer, songwriter, record producer, and the founder and president of Reach Records.
Often described as a pioneer of inspirational rap, Lecrae has won multiple BET Awards and Stellar Awards in addition to his Grammy wins. His music, which combines rap and gospel influences, focuses on themes of hope, faith, justice, and personal transformation.
He is known for albums such as Anomaly, Restoration, and Church Clothes, which have received critical acclaim and helped establish his reputation as a leading figure in Christian hip hop.
Kigali is the latest stop on the Reconstruction World Tour, which has seen Lecrae perform in major cities across the world.
In a video message to Rwandan fans ahead of the show, Lecrae said:
“The Reconstruction Tour is coming to your backyard, Rwanda. I’m excited to bring it to you. We’ve got an incredible show for y’all and we’re reconstructing, like I said. So we’re going to get some of the music from Gravity, Anomaly, Rehab, and on top of that, I will give you new music from the Reconstruction album.”
