South African artist Tyla has extended her highly successful local tour with an additional show at the SunBet Arena, Pretoria, on 18 January 2025.
The announcement comes as a relief to fans who missed out on her sold-out performances in Cape Town and Pretoria earlier this month.
“Everything that’s happening has surpassed anything I could have dreamt of,” Tyla said. “African music is going global, and I’m so blessed to be one of the artists pushing the culture. I’ve been working on my sound for two years now, and I’m so ready for the world to hear it.”
The singer’s rise to international acclaim has been meteoric, courtesy of her global hit ‘Water’. The track earned Tyla the inaugural Best African Music Performance award at the Grammys and became a chart-topping sensation. It peaked at No1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and dominated the Billboard Afrobeats Chart for a historic 52 weeks at No. 1, among other notable rankings on major R&B and Afrobeats charts.
Her debut album TYLA, released in March 2024, has been widely praised for its seamless fusion of amapiano, Afrobeats, contemporary R&B, and pop. Collaborations with global stars like Travis Scott, Tems, Gunna, Skillibeng, and Becky G further highlight her versatility and appeal.
As Tyla prepares to kick off 2025 with unmatched momentum, her January performance is set to be an unforgettable celebration of her journey and talent.
Tickets for the one-night-only event are available here.
