Trace Fest SA: Ultimate street bash is here
Dancehall duo Jahyanai and Bamby will perform at Trace Fest in Soweto, this Saturday.
Trace Fest recently announced that the French-speaking duo, which hails from Guiana, will be joining a diverse line-up of local artists.
“We’re excited to have the French-Caribbean sounds of Jahyanai and Bamby," Trace South Africa managing director Valentine Gaudin-Muteba said. "This weekend, their dancehall style of music mashed with our local genres of house, amapiano, gqom and hip hop will echo throughout Meadowlands [Soweto].”
This year's street bash is themed '90s and will feature performances on the main stage by Thebe, Sho Madjozi, Nadia Nakai, Boity, Simmy, Okmalumkoolkat, Spoken Priestess, Buhle Moletsane, Jus Low, Trap Thursday DJs, Flexicution, Malumz on Decks, Da Kruk, Muzi, Dbn Gogo, Jaivane, Lebza The Villain and the 2019 Trace Amapiano winner Pro Monate.
On the Ballantine’s BTB stage, music fans will see live performances from DJ Raybel, Fka Mash and Aux Womdantso alongside stage competition winners Soulful G, Phodii, Sdizo, Tsetse Rooi and Ckenz Voucal.
Trace Mobile ambassador Sho Madjozi will also announce the winner of the #StepUpInIbiza competition, who will walk away with an all-expenses-paid trip to Ibiza for four.
Trace Mobile subscribers at the festival will stand a chance to be upgraded to VIP status and get up close with artists and other VIP guests.
