Serious Klein drops Ohene single

Produced by Rascal (best known for his work with US rapper Kendrick Lamar, most recently on ‘GNX’), ‘Ohene’ translates from Twi as “king”.

Thematically, the track aims to be an anthem of resilience and pride, honouring its author’s heritage and solidifying his place as a commanding voice in hip hop.

Thanks to his powerful storytelling, Serious Klein – known for blending influences from jazz, soul, and hip hop into his music – has garnered international acclaim, including praise for his 2018 album You Should’ve Known.

“Known for electrifying performances at major festivals and notable collaborations, Serious Klein’s artistry stands out for its depth and authenticity,” a statement says about the rapper, who recently opened for US hip hop vet Nas during his European tour.

Behind other collections like The Introduction (2015) and Summer 03’s Problem (2016), Serious Klein is signed to Mass Appeal, the Nas-founded American independent record label.
