SA: Relebogile Mabotja wins Best Talk Show at Telkom Radio Awards
South African broadcaster Relebogile Mabotja has won the Best Talk Show award in the Commercial category at the Telkom Radio Awards, an accolade presented over the weekend.

Mabotja, whose career spans more than two decades across radio, television, music and production, has established herself as a prominent voice in the country’s media sector. She has spent 12 years in radio and is recognised for her ability to engage audiences on complex social issues with clarity and empathy.
In a statement, Mabotja thanked her team at 702 and Primedia, as well as her producers. “I am deeply grateful to the 702 and Primedia team, and to my producers, Pachida Mabisi and Abel Mabelane. Their partnership and commitment have been integral to the show’s success,” she said. She also expressed appreciation to her listeners, describing them as “the heartbeat of the afternoons.”
Mabotja has previously received four radio award nominations. This latest recognition is her second win. Her body of work includes hosting national broadcasts, conducting in-depth interviews and producing content across multiple media platforms.
The award marks another milestone in a career that continues to evolve, reinforcing her position as one of the leading voices in South African broadcasting.
