Nigeria: Idahams shares sophomore LP Sounds of a Hustler

The nine-song project features collaborations with fellow Nigerian acts Bella Shmurda and Wizard Chan.

“Sounds of a Hustler is a powerful narrative that encapsulates the essence of perseverance and victory,” a statement reads. “With Idahams’ signature blend of Afrobeat rhythms, highlife influences, and contemporary sounds, the album offers a rich, textured soundscape that celebrates the journey of overcoming obstacles and achieving success.”

The album kicks off with the reflective ‘Away’, featuring Wizard Chan, the two artists trading tales of hardship and triumph. Other focus tracks include ‘Casamigos’, which embodies the spirit of celebration, and finds Idahams intransigent on everything that has made him one of the most promising emerging artists, as well as the Bella Shmurda-assisted ‘Portion Remix’.

“This second studio album is one that means a lot to me as it documents my journey in this ‘music hustle’ properly,” Idahams said. “I know you all will love it because I poured my heart, soul, and sweat into creating this masterpiece, specifically for you as a source of motivation.”

Born Hart Idawarifagha Ishmael, the Universal Music and Grafton Records signee, whose mainstream breakthrough arrived in 2018, is behind well-received songs like ‘Man on Fire’ and ‘Shima’.
