MusicRadar’s Guitar Show to go live
UK website MusicRadar will host the Guitar Show, which will take place virtually for the first time on 25 and 26 September.
The event is the UK’s biggest guitar show, and is courtesy of Guitar World, Guitarist, Guitar Player, Guitar Techniques and Total Guitar. It will include masterclasses, live sessions, Q&As as well as performances from the musicians. The event will also feature demos and clinics from top makers and master builders.
The workshops will cover the full range of guitar styles and practical gear tips for players of all levels. The show will feature exclusive exhibits from top guitar brands, including Fender, Laney Amplification, Yamaha and Ibanez, which will show their latest releases for the coming year.
This year’s edition will feature big international names such as rock musician and guitar coach Joe Satriani, funk phenom Cory Wong, Guns N' Roses guitarist Richard Fortus, former lead guitarist Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal, Jakko Jakszyk of King Crimson fame and blues player Jared James Nichols, among many others. More acts will be announced soon.
Nichols recently confirmed that he would be running through his P-90-loaded Epiphone Old Glory and Blackstar JJN including some gear; a Klon Centaur overdrive pedal and a vintage 1953 Gibson Les Paul. The blues musician will also offer some tone tips that all guitar players can benefit from.
Launched in 2007, MusicRadar offers information pertaining to artists and their music, with interviews, product news and reviews and online music lessons.
The event is free to view and interested participants can sign up here.
