Listen to Stino Le Thwenny’s Mshimane
South African hip hop duo Stino Le Thwenny have released a new song titled ‘Mshimane’.
The song was produced by Caask Asid and is available for streaming and download here. ‘Mshiman’ will be featured on the group’s upcoming EP, which is set for release sometime this year.
“All our music are references of our real life and lessons we have learnt in our journey,” Stino Le Thwenny told Music In Africa. “There was a time when people didn’t like our music and told us to quit and the very same people are now singing a different tune and they love our music.
“We have been performing for free in the last four years and we struggled to get gigs. We never stopped, we changed the narrative and now we are seen as those guys that are going to put the Free State on the map."
Stino Le Thwenny, who are signed to Universal Music South Africa, said their music is influenced by artist like Khuli Chana, Morafe, Zola, Mandoza and TKZee.
“Their music influenced our sound and what we are about," the Bloemfontein duo said. "We strive to make sure that our sound is timeless. We are hosting local events to nurture new talent and give exposure to upcoming artists. We do these three times a year and it’s a culture that we are building in the city to give hope to the youth so they can reach their goals.”
