Kenny Lattimore to return to Cape Town for September concert

The concert will mark Lattimore’s first performance in Cape Town in more than a decade, according to organisers.

Lattimore, a Grammy-nominated artist and inductee of the Rhythm & Blues Music Hall of Fame, is expected to perform a selection of songs from his catalogue, including ‘For You’, ‘Never Too Busy’, ‘All My Tomorrows’, ‘When I Said I Do’, ‘Weekend’ and ‘Stay On Your Mind’.

The singer has released eight studio albums and two collaborative albums during a career spanning more than two decades. He has previously performed in South Africa and maintains a following among local R&B audiences.

Vertex Events artist liaison Thato Mokoena said the company was looking forward to bringing the artist back to the country.

“As an R&B fan favourite, Kenny Lattimore is an exciting artist for us to bring back to South Africa for the Cape Town crowd – a crowd he has not performed for in a long while. As a team, we look forward to a show that will be one to remember for a long time,” Mokoena said.
