Eswatini singer Sethu and music duo A2Z_Fusion have released a new collaborative single titled ‘Ng’bambe’.
‘Ng’bambe’ is a Swati word meaning ‘hold me tight’. The love song was recorded at Hala Studios Eswatini and is available for streaming. The song was produced by Subjamz and Mvilas.
“This is a message of love and the song is asking us to hold on tight despite the challenges we are facing,” A2Z_Fusion said. “The music industry is going through a tough time due to the COVID-19 pandemic and we are saying, ‘hold on’.”
Sethu said: “l am inspired by anything and everything that has to do with love and ‘Ng’bambe’ is a true embodiment of it. I was impressed when I recorded the song in the same studio with A2Z_Fusion and I hope for such collaborations in the future.”
A2Z_Fusion made an name for themselves in eSwatini after participating in Season 1 of the MTN Spotlight singing competition. The duo have won a number of awards at the MTN SWAMAs and collaborated with artists from Tanzania, Lesotho, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Other notable songs by A2Z_Fusion include ‘Wena’, ‘Dlala’ and ‘Dali’.
Sethu began to explore her musical abilities while studying at the University of Zululand in South Africa, where she studied dramatic arts. She gained fame after winning MTN Spotlight Season 2. This was followed by the release of ‘Bambelela’, the first single off her upcoming album featuring Msimisi and Denzel.
