Call for scores: QMM 2026
Queer Music Midwest (QMM) has announced a call for scores for its 2026 festival, inviting submissions from queer composers and those with connections to Nebraska or the wider Midwestern United States.
The submission for calls is 21 February 2026.
Selected works will be performed by flutists Bridget Hill and Rose Khorsandi on 11 April 2026 at BLIXT Arts Lab in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Submission details
- Works should be written for one or two C flutes
- Duration: 3 to 7 minutes
- Composers may submit one original score only
- The festival seeks works that reflect the diversity of voices and experiences within queer and Midwestern music communities
Eligibility and requirements
- Open to queer composers and composers with ties to Nebraska or the Midwest
- No requirement to attend the festival in person
- No entry fee
- Travel and accommodation are not funded by QMM
