Call for nominations: Eastern Cape Youth Awards in SA

The nominees should be from the Eastern Cape province and must possess attributes, which demonstrate that they qualify to be honoured at the ECYAs. The nominees should also have made an impact at local, regional and international level.

Criteria for nominations

• The nomination must be based on impact achieved during the preceding 12 months prior to nomination.
• Young people who are between 18 and 35 years old qualify for nomination. (The nominee must be 35 years old on the day of the award ceremony and not only on the date of nomination).
• The nominees should be born in the Eastern Cape.
• Young people who have made and continue to make significant changes in their chosen field or in the lives of the people of Eastern Cape.
• Young people who focus on the needs of developing the Eastern Cape and display that their work and vision has had impact and continues to have a positive impact on others.
• Young people who are legends in the making.

Terms and conditions

• Only South African citizens are eligible to enter.
• The immediate families of the ECYAs organisers are not eligible to enter.
• The immediate families or relatives of members of the adjudication panel are not eligible to enter.

The submission deadline is 23 April.
