Call for applications: Santuri Gear Box East Africa
Santuri East Africa in partnership with Native Instruments is inviting leaders of creative collectives, studio owners, artist managers, festival directors, venue owners and curators to apply for the Gear Box project.
The Santuri Gear Box project will benefit spaces and platforms that enable creative collaboration and shared access to community resources, as well as provide access to cutting edge production and performance technology including hardware and software with a view to improve the East African electronic music industry.
The improvement comes in the form of six recording and production studios, six performance platforms and six creative collectives from six countries in East Africa. Last year, professionals from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, including Zanzibar, took part in the project. Rwanda, Burundi and Ethiopia have been added to the project this year.
