Call for applications: Goethe-Institut head of administration in Tanzania
Goethe-Institut Tanzania is seeking an experienced and vibrant individual to assume the head of administration position in Dar es Salaam from 15 January 2021.

The successful applicant should be able to speak eloquently in German and English.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Participate in the preparation of the budget planning and control in cooperation with management.
- Be responsible for billing and bookkeeping half-yearly and annual financial statements.
- Be responsible for personnel management, including labour and tax law and social security conditions in the host country.
- Offer support to the institute's management and the proper handling and implementation of reporting as well as the organisation of internal work processes.
- Monitor compliance with the security regulations of the host country, rental, purchase, leasing and insurance contracts, participation in the processing of status issues and questions of labour law as well as quality management of the administrative processes.
- Handle property management and procurement.
- Be involved in the purchase of goods and services.
Eligibility
Interested applicants should:
- Have completed a degree from any university that offers applied sciences or have the equivalent knowledge and skills. Desirable subjects include law, finance and administration.
- Have leadership skills, initiative and assertiveness.
- Have a high willingness to make decisions, high resilience and ability to work as a team.
- Possess a high social and intercultural competence.
- Be a well-founded professional practical knowledge in the area of administration.
- Have conceptual and analytical skills.
- Possess coordination and organisational skills.
- Be proactive with a solution-oriented work style.
- Have the willingness to familiarise oneself with the software systems of the Goethe-Institut.
Requirements

- A curriculum vitae in tabular form.
- Graduation certificate from the institute.
- Motivational letter.
- Proof of excellent knowledge of German.
- A valid work permit for non-Tanzanians.
