Call for applications: 2022 Techstars Music Accelerator programme
Techstars Music is calling on music startups globally to apply for its accelerator programme in the US between 24 January and 21 April 2022.
The three-month programme will work with companies that can assist the live music and entertainment sector globally. Founders who are unable or choose not to attend in person will have the option to participate remotely.
Participants will connect with mentors who will provide funding and fundraising opportunities, workshops and resources to learn from their peers.
Who can apply?
- Any startup that uses technology to solve problems for music and entertainment globally.
- Companies will solve a problem that will benefit the live or recorded music industry.
The programme will offer particiapnts the following:
- A 90-day, mentorship-driven accelerator programme with personal mentorship and office space.
- Techstars will contribute $20 000, which is typically used as a stipend for living expenses during the programme in return for 6% equity of the company (on a fully diluted basis, issued as common stock) until the company raises a priced equity financing of $250 000 or more.
- Techstars Music will offer every participating company an optional $100 000 convertible note.
- Lifetime access to the Techstars worldwide network of entrepreneurs, including more than 10 000 mentors, 10 000 investors, 1 600 alumni companies, and over 200 staff members.
- Access to more than $400 000 in cash equivalent hosting, accounting and legal support plus other credits and perks worthover $5m.
