Black Coffee injured in Argentina flight accident

The incident was confirmed via the Grammy winner’s social media accounts on 10 January. In a statement, Black Coffee’s team said: “The incident resulted in unforeseen complications and left him with some injuries.”

The statement added: “We can confirm that he is receiving the best possible medical attention and is surrounded by a supportive family and team. In respect of his privacy, we kindly request understanding and patience from the media and his fans. Despite the challenges presented, Black Coffee is optimistic and recovering well. He looks forward to being back with you all very soon.”

Black Coffee’s Mar Del Plata show was listed as among his performances in Venezuela, the US, Colombia and Mexico on 13 January, 2 March, 21 March and 27 April, respectively.

Born Nkosinathi Innocent Sizwe Maphumulo, Black Coffee became the first South African artist ever to win a Grammy Award for dance/electronic music with his album Subconsciously at the 2022 edition of the awards.

He is known for his contributions to both house music and the vibrant electronic scene of his native South Africa and has been a fixture in the global electronic scene for nearly two decades. In October, he headlined a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York.
