Artist manager launches tool for researching playlists
US creative director and artist manager Benji Stein has launched a new tool for researching playlists called PlaylistSupply.
- PlaylistSupply is designed to find relevant and legitimate playlists.
The tool, which is now available, was built to include complex algorithms and help find playlists faster and more efficiently. It enables users to search for Spotify playlists relevant to their artist’s genre or other search keywords, view playlist data like follower count, contact info and owner name, and find contacts for the curators of those playlists.
PlaylistSupply says its tool is effective because it lets users easily build their own contact list of organic playlists without extensive researching, instead of paying for outdated contact lists or fake bot followers to boost playlist stats.
“This tool was designed to level the playlisting playing field and to be used by indie managers to avoid scam-like ‘playlist networks’," a statement reads. “The tool is super effective for niche genres and anyone looking to increase their Spotify traffic. Since inception, we now have people from renowned management companies and major labels using the tool to supplement their digital release strategies.”
Commenting on the tool, Romantic Music Group artist manager Andrew Kwan said: “As a manager, I am always looking for new tools to bolster my client’s playlist pitching success. PlaylistSupply is a phenomenal tool that has stripped lightyears off of that process and saved me not only time, but energy and resources.” PlaylistSupply subscription costs $19.99 a month. In April, information and media brand Business of Apps published the Spotify Usage and Revenue Statistics report. About a third of Spotify listening time is spent on Spotify-generated playlists, with another third spent on user-generated playlists. The music streaming platform's Today’s Top Hits playlist was followed by 26 million people. Other influential playlists included RapCaviar with more than 12.8 million followers and Viva Latino with 10.6 million followers.
