SA renowned DJ Shimza will livestream his One Man Show from Robben Island on Mandela Day.
The house DJ will become the first artist to perform a livestream show from the historic prison where pollical activists and former presidents Nelson Mandela, Kgalema Motlanthe and Jacob Zuma served time behind bars.
Mandela Day was officially declared by the UN in 2009, where people are asked to spend 67 minutes of their time to give back to the community and those who are less privileged. Shimza says livestreaming his show from Robben Island is also his way of not admitting defeat to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The One Man Show will air on MTV Base channel 322 from 4pm to 6pm CAT.
