Stonebwoy (or Stonebwoy Burniton) is the stage name of Livingstone Etse Satekla, a Ghanaian Afro-pop, dancehall and reggae artist and the CEO of Burniton Music Group. Satekla was born in 1988 in Ashaiman and began making music in his early school days. He studied at Methodist Day Secondary School alongside rapper Sarkodie. He began performing as Stonebwoy since high school. He continued his tertiary education at University of Professional Studies to earn a degree in Marketing in 2013.

His performances at rap battles and his style of music caught the eye of Samini, who to signed him to his label, Samini Music. Here Stonebwoy recorded his first hit singles, 'Climax' ft. Samini and subsequently 'Ghetto Love' ft. Irene Logan. Both songs earned him nominations at the Ghana Music Awards. After this exposure, he released his debut album 'Grade 1 Album' under his Burniton Music Group Label, which made Stonebwoy a household name in the music industry. It was followed by his sophomore album, 'Necessary Evil'.
