Call for applications: British Council arts officer in Nairobi
The British Council is looking to hire an arts officer for its Nairobi office in Kenya.
The ideal candidate will support the programmes manager and the wider British Council team to deliver an engaging arts programme in East Africa.
The successful applicant is expected to contribution to the successful delivery of the British Council’s East Africa Arts programme, and clearly communicate the impact of the programme.
The successful applicant will also lead the Nairobi region in project coordination and event organisation in a busy working environment while ensuring that British Council and client rules and procedures are followed.

Requirements
To be considered for the position, the applicant must:
- Have a degree or higher education qualification in a relevant cultural or administrative field.
- Have English at proficiency level.
- Have at least two years’ recent professional experience administrating projects in the cultural, social or a related sector.
- Have experience in working in a team to ensure significant impact through successful outcomes from cultural programmes.
- Have proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
