The French Institute is calling on artists to apply for the two-month Visas for Creation artist residency programme in France later in the year.
The programme is intended for artists and curators residing in Africa or the Caribbean, with professional experience in music, visual arts, photography, digital arts, architecture, design, crafts, fashion, theatre, dance, circus arts, street and puppetry, and multidisciplinary projects.
Interested applicants should create an online profile to apply for the programme.
The application deadline is 31 May.
Who should apply?
The programme is intended for:
- African artists who propose a residency project taking place in France.
- Caribbean artists (Caribbean islands only) who propose a residency project taking place in metropolitan France and in the French Departments of America (DFA).
“For dance professionals wishing to be residents of the Cité Internationale des Arts, it should be noted that, in addition to the application for residence at the CIA, a letter of agreement from another dedicated structure must be included to dance or partner of the French Institute providing technical and artistic support in addition to accommodation at the CIA,” reads a statement.
