Do or Die

Thobani Khawula, professionally known as Do or Die Ipansula, is a multifaceted South African hip-hop artist, songwriter, producer and creative entrepreneur from Ntuzuma eLindelani, Durban. Widely recognised for his conscious lyricism, storytelling ability and deep connection to township culture, he has built a career that extends far beyond music.

In addition to being a recording artist, Do or Die Ipansula is also a beatmaker, published author, music video director, editor, kofifi dancer, actor, event organiser and stage performer. He is the founder of Emgedeni The Cave Enterprise Pty Ltd, a creative platform dedicated to artistic development and cultural expression.

He began performing at the age of 10 in 2001, using music as a vehicle to explore conscious rap, social commentary and everyday life experiences. Over the years, he has developed a distinctive artistic identity rooted in authenticity, vernacular storytelling and township realities.

Throughout his career, Do or Die Ipansula has performed across various parts of South Africa, including Mpumalanga, Cape Town and Johannesburg. He has shared stages with several prominent artists, including AKA, DJ Tira, DreamTeam and Oskido, among others.
