Call for submissions: Africa-centric video content
Independent African video producers and filmmakers are encouraged to submit video content for Africa Prime – a streaming brand of Africa Today TV based in Washington, DC.

This call seeks to rectify Africa’s negative perceptions by showcasing the continent’s success stories and great potential, and lend a face and a voice to Africa by letting Africans speak about their land, without interpreters.
“Africa Prime is looking to purchase or lease existing Africa-centric film/video content ... for online rights or limited rights to the US and Canadian audiences,” the media company says.
Africa Prime is in search of content that:
- Reflects the rich historical, cultural and human heritage of the continent.
- Reflects faith in its people’s hope for the future.
- Informs the world about Africa’s outstanding sons and daughters and remarkable successes.
Interested individuals can make submissions in the following categories:
- Culture, Fashion, Music, Arts
- Lifestyle, Celebrities Fashion, Food
- History, Education
- Business, Profiles, News
- Documentaries, Struggle
- Travel, Tourism, Hospitality
- Sport, Science, Achievers
Interested individuals should:
- Ensure that the storyline is consistent with Africa Prime’s positive vision of Africa.
- Ensure that the concept is original.
- Ensure that the submission is authentic, distinctive, in-depth and relevant.
- Ensure that the submission is of high-quality production values.
