Call for applications: 2020 Sondeka Creative Awards in Kenya

"Being a hub that attracts and welcomes creatives from various disciplines, we have appreciated the growth of the underdogs and have taken it upon ourselves to recognise these highly talented members of the creative community," Creatives Garage said.

The awards are accepting entries in the following categories:

• Live band
• Alternative/experimental music
• Dance
• Online radio and podcasts
• Poetry and spoken word
• Digital art
• Traditional art
• Short stories
• Street art

Entrants will be judged based on:

• Creativity
• Execution
• Quality of craft
• Overall experience
• Innovation

Eligibility

The applicants must:

• Submit original and creative pieces of artwork.
• Own the copyright of their work.
• Submit profile pictures of themselves (size should be above 4MB).
• Ensure that audios and videos were well shot and produced with good sound (videos must be in sizes not less than 480p).
• Submit direct links, images and/or videos to their works.
• Submit work produced between the year 2019-20.
• A brief and clear description of the submitted artwork.

Artists have until 20 February to submit their entries.
