SoundCloud brings track editing and Spotlight to iOS
Music streaming service SoundCloud this week launched mobile track editing and Spotlight for iOS.
The new tools, which were previously available on desktop only are now available on the Apple platform, will allow users to update their tracks, titles, descriptions and artwork via their iOS device at any time.
Users can also add titles to their final tracks and change their privacy settings from private to public when a song is complete.
SoundCloud said the option would be made available for Android soon.
In addition, SoundCloud’s Spotlight feature has also been launched on iOS. This will enable SoundCloud Pro subscribers to pin their best work to the top of their profiles from their phones.
Performing musicians will also be able to pin their live sets or setlists to the top of their profiles immediately after performing.
“As part of our commitment to giving you what you need to make a career in music, this year SoundCloud is rolling out even more mobile workflow tools, so you can keep creating anytime, anywhere,” SoundCloud wrote in a blog post.
The feature could be a great tool for musicians who are on the road as well as those who love to create work on the spot.
The development can be seen as a smart move from Soundcloud considering the shift from desktops to mobile in recent years.
