After doing backup choruses at the studio and accompanying some of the greatest Cameroonian artists like André-Marie Tala, Ekambi Brillant, Etienne Mbappè, Henri Dikongue, Charlotte Dipanda and Manu Dibango just to name a few, Gaelle Wondje debuts her solo carrier .
An album is released on November 15th 2011 titled «M comme Aimer» ( L for Love).
This rhythmic ensemble comprising 10 songs, translates perfectly her philosophy and cultural influences. In it we find Bossa, reggae, Makossa, bikutsi, ékang, ballads and even slow rock... all of that seasoned with afrojazz.
It took 6 years to prepare this jewel.
In 2017, she released a second album named ENING.
This second album is an invitation to share on themes that resembles us and brings us together, learnedly orchestrated by rhythms from here and elsewhere with colorful and felted melodies.
Since her participation in her secondary school (Government bilingual high school bonaberi) and university of Buea orchestra up until her return to Douala as winner of the first television reality show musical competition LACLASS, Gaelle Wondje has never ceased acquiring knowledge in her area of competence in order to perfect her art and better exercise her passion.
Her rich young yet complete career is the result. She does not pretend to revolutionize the cultural universe of her country, but to share with the maximum her vision of the world and life because "music is a universal language" she thinks.
In 2021 she has initiated «LES MERCREDIS JAZZ DE GAELLE WONDJE » that was taking place in a cabaret in the town of Douala.It was a platform of expression,sharing and discovery of talents.
From this « MERCREDIS JAZZ DE GAELLE WONDJE » was created a solid jazz group with Gaelle Wondje : « JAZZSTELLATION ». During that period they worked hard on a project that they named « KAMER STANDARDS » .It was about working on some of their heritage music through jazz in order to populazised it in their country, as far as it is considered by population as elitist music.the project album has been released in 2022
In 2023 she is involved in a creative residence in Montreal Canada initiaited by the AFROPOLITAN NOMAD FESTIVAL.
She is since january 2024 The President Founder of PRODE association for child protection and education through arts, and CEO of FEJAMAC (jazz and current music festival of Cameroon)
After very notable performances in Montpellier and Paris in France as part of FOCUS CAMEROUN in June, she is going to China with the GAELLE WONDJE QUARTET project for a tour from September to November 2024
January 2025 is marked by an unforgettable stage performance at the JMC (Jounées Musicales de Carthage) in Tunisia
