Tshepo Skosana
Bio
Tshepo Skosana is a multidisciplinary performing artist, researcher, and a web moderator at Music in Africa Foundation. He combines stage practice with research and advocacy, grounded in academic and professional training in music, theatre arts and cultural policy and management.
Tshepo's work encompasses performance, policy research and consultancy and community engagement. He has published on arts and education policy for the SADC region and researched the intersection of intellectual-property legislation with digital technologies ,continually examining the relationship between policy and institutional practice to create, enable and facilitate an environment where artists from marginalised backgrounds can thrive . Tshepo collaborates with artists, cultural organisations and policymakers to help develop more inclusive, resilient creative ecosystems.
Overall, Tshepo works to bridge artistic practice and policy—creating platforms, shaping laws and programs, and mentoring emerging talent so that creativity leads to sustainable livelihoods and a fairer cultural landscape across Africa.
