Tello "Dallas T" Leballo

Tello "Dallas T" Leballo is the founder of Sky Alpha HD, the first online radio station in Lesotho. Dallas T (Dee-Tee)’s love and passion for radio goes as far back as 2001. This influential personality would pester and associate himself with different radio stations to learn more about modelling of various stations, categorization, structure, house style etc. Dallas T has established relations with some of the biggest radio stations in Africa, such as Good Hope FM (Cape Town), Metro FM, East Coast Radio (KZN), Kaya FM (Kenya), Yfm and many more. This broadcasting guru would just knock on different doors to seek the opportunity of shadowing producers, presenters and technical crew, on a quest to gain more knowledge.

After completing his studies, Dallas T invaded the local media fraternity, where he looked for opportunities to mould his skills and experience on broadcasting. In 2001, Radio Lesotho, a government owned radio station, which broadcasts nation-wide then opened doors for him, where he was volunteering as a Youth Content Producer. After settling for that position, all while pursuing his studies, Dallas T was later employed by Lesotho National Broadcasting Service (LNBS) in 2002 as a Technical Assistant. The enthusiastic and determined personality then decided to go extra mile against odds, with a mission to explore more about radio, and later that year, he was nominated to assist with production and presenting of youth programmes. Dallas T debuted by presenting a show called Molikong oa Bacha, a programme shaped to inspire and educate young people through skills development, career advice and entertainment. This move saw Radio Lesotho air ratings sky-rocket, which sparked a lot of positive reaction and following from young people across all corners of the mountain kingdom of Lesotho. Dallas T had since conceptualized, produced, co-produced and presented popular radio and television shows.

Dallas T 's passion for talent scout, developed even further when he toured countrywide and worked with renowned musicians, such as Bhudaza, Ts’epo Tsola and Maleh to mention a few. Following his Broadcasting studies in Egypt, in 2006, DT was nominated, to head the inception of the first and only government-owned commercial radio station in Lesotho, Ultimate FM. DT has attended some of the most notable broadcasting courses, including the Voice of America Radio Class of 2018 in Nairobi, Kenya. Dallas T has scooped some esteemed awards which include Best Radio Personality endorsed by Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA), Lesotho Chapter, Influential Media Community Personality, by Supreme Performing Arts Theatre (SPAT), Best DJ (Miller

Competition), Best SADC Radio Influencer (MTV SADC radio forum), and many more.

Mr Tello Leballo was also a panelist (Judge) on Lesotho's highly acclaimed talent shows such as the Econet Theme Song Competition, Vodacom Lesotho’s Vodacom Superstars for 5 seasons in a row, alongside some of the most influential personalities in the country.
