Soulja

Born Usama Ashraf, Soulja, is a Sudanese rapper who established himself in the Arabic rap scene in 2021 with the release of his EP Nomadic. He is known for hits like Donia, Suits, CA VA, and London. Because of the war in the Sudan, he didn't release his album, Deja Vu, until 2024. In his own words, "the war took away my small comfort zone that I created for myself, something I've almost forgotten. Music has been a part of my survival, a lifeline evolving just as I have, in response to the circumstances." . His most recent single, Donia, was released on 6 June, 2025, and has already garnered over 1 million views on YouTube. Prior to his move to Cairo, his adoptive home since 2021, Soulja honed his craft in both Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, where the rhythm of  each country managed to drench his specific sound with a certain level of depth that adamantly sets him apart from his contemporaries.
