Red Bull Music Academy

Red Bull Music Academy is an event in Gaborone, Botswana that creates opportunities for people and get them recognized for their efforts. The academy launched an event launched called Botswana Electronic Music Festival in September 2015 when the country celebrated its 50th year of democracy. The government chose to host an electronic music festival in a forward thinking representation of the countries dynamic state of change.

The first Botswana Electronic Music Festival was designed to inspire the national to create, to join the digital evolution and stand up on the world stage. The event featured a host of local and international artists, as well as a series of workshops bringing aspiring local producers together with leading figures in the electronic music scene.
