Q. Mpumelelo

Q. Mpumelelo is a Gospel singer, songwriter, producer, and recording artist residing in Cape Town, South Africa. He honed his musical skills in church serving in the music team. His passion is to impart a wholesome life to people through Bible-based music. He has released two well received EPs. His music is available in popular digital platforms.

MUSICAL JOURNEY AND ACCOLADES
Love Letter, his debut EP, an eclectic expression of his love for God, family and music earned him a Best Newcomer nomination in Independent Gospel Music Awards (INGOMA) in 2018.

#NewRoadsNewRivers, his sophomore EP won him the Best Male award in Ukhonukamva National Gospel Music Awards (UNGMA) in 2019. Ebenezer (Kusekuningi) a song from this EP was used as the theme song for these awards in 2020. Furthermore, UNGMA invited Q. Mpumelelo to serve in the organising committee as an Administrator Assistant, a position which he has executed well to date.

#NewRoadsNewRivers’ title was stylized as a social media handle as a statement of faith that it would go viral and touch many people globally. Testament to that, all its tracks, New Roads New Rivers, Bless the Lord (Bonga uJehova), Ebenezer (Kusekuningi), Ngyekeleni, Ngiyanqoba, Rock Bottom and Fashaaa the Love Anthem have been receiving good reviews across the world with people giving testimonies of their impact on their lives.

COLLABORATIONS
In 2021 Q. Mpumelelo collaborated with DJ K Flow and Jo Scarlett on an evangelistic dance single called MAMELA.
In 2022 he collaborated with Minister Tebogo, Pastor SD, Nnana Komape and Simphiwe Tshabalala (Woman in Chronicle, Vol. 2) on another evangelistic single, UMUSA WANELE.
Furthermore, Q. Mpumelelo has worked with, and written songs for/with several artists including Troy Nkonde, Angel Marabele, Neo Charlie, Aphiwe Bottoman, Wanele Lushaba, Devine Nhika, Ndodomzi Macingwane, Sier Yoyoe, Tools De Poet, Zizikazi, Leslie Kampila, and Intercessor.

CURRENT PROJECTS
Currently, Q. Mpumelelo is releasing music from his dynamic/on-going worship music project called SUMMIT OF WORSHIP whose first volume titled Tetelestai (Debt Fully Paid) was released in 2023 and was sponsored by Southern African Music Rights Association (SAMRO) through their Music Creation Support Fund (MCSF) awarded by merit to deserving artists.
