Peace Preacher

The Peace Preachers, often stylised as Peace Preacherz, are a renowned Zambian family gospel group founded in 2010. Known for their soul-winning ministry, they blend inspirational gospel music with messages of love, hope and spiritual transformation. Over the years, they have become a respected name in Zambia’s gospel music industry for both their musical excellence and impactful ministry work.

The group was established in 2010 after evolving from the Reason Gospel Band. They later rebranded to Peace Preachers following a tribute song dedicated to the late Zambian President, Frederick Chiluba. Based in Lusaka, Zambia, the ensemble is made up of 12 family members, including siblings and parents, creating a unique harmony rooted in shared faith and upbringing.

The Peace Preachers are led by Pastor Martha Chitoma Chishimba, who also serves as founder of the Shunamit Woman Organization. The members are children of Pastor Dorothy Tishima and the late Apostle Robby Chishimba, and were raised in a ministry-centred environment that deeply shaped their spiritual and musical journey. Key vocal members include Favor, Rabi, Doas, Moses, John and Sarai.

Their breakthrough came in 2010 with the widely acclaimed song “Katalalika wamabimbi”, which propelled them into national recognition. They have since released albums including Katalalika, Ninkumbu Shenu and Pempelo. In 2014, they received both the CBC Award and the Chapro Award, affirming their growing influence within the gospel music space.

The group has shared platforms with prominent gospel artists such as Sinach and Ephraim, further strengthening their presence in the regional gospel community.
