Bio
Nvcho, whose real name is Unathi Jafta Mzimkhulu, is a South African producer and DJ. He is from the township of Kwa-Thema in the East Rand, Gauteng. He was exposed to music at a young age. Nvcho was the drummer at his church, an experience that developed his ability to create catchy drum patterns. He then went on to further his musical development when he started learning how to produce music. Today, he is an established Amapiano producer who has collaborated with big artists such as Sam Deep and Kelvin Momo. He is credited as being one of the pioneers of the genre Kwapi, a blend of Amapiano and Kwaito music.
In 2024, he released his debut solo album called Dust 2 Dust. The album featured a long list of prominent producers and vocalists such as Babalwa M, Kelvin Momo, and Mathandos, with whom he had already released a collaborative album. The initial release was followed by Kings of Kwapi Vol. 1, which he released in 2025. The project is a collaboration between himself, Sam Deep, and Nvcho. The album set a foundation for the popularity of Kwapi as a genre. Nvcho's latest release at the time of writing is Letters I Didn’t Send, which was released in early 2026 re-establishing him as a pioneer in the South African music landscape.
