Bio

Ntsiki Mazwai (born September 3, 1980) is a multi-talented South African poet, musician, beadwork artist, and social activist. Known as the "Street Queen," she has built a career centered on black consciousness, African identity, and women's issues.

Music & Poetry: A pioneer of mixing poetry with house music, she is famous for the hit "uRongo". Her discography includes albums like Ma Miya (2007) and NDIM LO (2023).Media & Podcasts: In 2024 and 2025, she hosted the MOYA Podcast, a platform where she discusses politics, natural sciences, and African history with various scholars and healers.Intervision 2025: In September 2025, she was appointed as the representative for South Africa on the international professional jury of Intervision, a major cultural competition.Literature & Arts: She holds an MA (cum laude) in Creative Writing from Rhodes University (2016) and has published the poetry anthology Wena.
