Bio

National Archives of Zambia saves as a government institute which to control the public archives and records of the government, state corporations, missions and individuals. It preserves books, manuscripts, maps and pictorial matters relating to the Republic of Zambia. The collection also features information relation to local artists and their music. Artists whose information and music that feature on the archives include Mr Swagger, Maiko Zulu and Saboi Imboela.

Work on the public archives is carried out at Lusaka National Archives and at various Record Centres in places like Lusaka, Mansa, Chipata, Kabwe, Ndola, and Livingstone. The National Archives is concerned with government records at all stages of their existence. The department co-operates with Ministries, Departments, parastatal organizations and the National Institute of Public Administration in matters of filing, registry procedures and preservations of records.
