Lawrence Oyor
Bio
Lawrence Gomba Oyor is a Nigerian gospel music minister, worship leader, evangelist, and prophetic minstrel known for his revival chants and worship songs that have gained wide recognition in contemporary Christian music. He was born on June 16, 1991, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, where he grew up in a deeply Christian family led by his parents, Rev. Gomba Fortune and Rev. Patience Oyor. His hometown is Ibadan, in Oyo State.
Lawrence initially pursued secular studies and earned a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Ibadan in 2013, followed by training at the Nigerian Law School. However, his passion for worship and ministry deepened while he was still in school. He began leading worship and prophetic chants during his university years, and his gospel music and ministry career effectively began around 2013, shortly after graduating and committing to full-time ministry and worship leadership.
Since then, he has co-founded the Davidic Minstrels movement with his twin brother, Pastor Godswill Oyor, released notable worship tracks like “Bowl of Fire” and “No Turning Back II”, and built a reputation as a dynamic voice in African gospel music.
